Management
Unitec's Graduate Diploma in Not-For-Profit Management is designed for managers and
co-ordinators of not-for-profit (NFP) organisations, team leaders, volunteers and
board members. It helps managers and their organisations to be more effective. This
is a professional qualification that directly addresses the complexity of working
in a NFP organisation. It highlights the differences between managing in the NFP
sector and a business or government department.

Housing Aotearoa
Community Housing Aotearoa (CHAI) is the national umbrella group for community
based housing providers and tenant groups and has been set up to support the
community housing sector. It is governed by a national council of eleven members
from different regions of New Zealand and is currently in the process of developing
a Strategic Plan to 2008 and establishing management and operational systems in
preparation for developing and providing services to its members.

Zealand
Local Government New Zealand represents the national interests of all 86 councils
of New Zealand. As the champion of best practice in the local government sector, we
provide policy, advice and training to councils.
Local Partnerships &
Governance
A new collaborative research project funded by the Foundation of Research, Science
& Technology and led by the University of Auckland, Strengthening Communities
through Local Partnerships aims to examine and document the overall range, scope
and effectiveness of local partnerships, with particular reference to New Zealand.
This in turn will underpin opportunities to strengthen local partnerships in New
Zealand.

The New Zealand Federation of Ethnic Councils acts as an umbrella organization for
the ethnic communities of New Zealand. The Federation's primary role is to
advocate, lobby, support and share information among the Regional Councils and New
Zealand's Ethnic Communities. The challenge for NZFEC is to provide an opportunity
for people from all segments of New Zealand's diverse society to address the
challenges facing our multicultural communities on the threshold of the 21st
Century.

health and disability services in communities throughout New Zealand. We are an
Incorporated Society funded by membership fees, philanthropy and fee for service
contracts. Platform members have a committment to mental health and work
collaboratively to find solutions that work for people and support New Zealand to
provide leading edge mental health services.
